DAY 1

This route is not for the faint hearted; with a few steep climbs, fast descents, white-knuckle single tracks and even a tunnel filled with bats. The views are rewarding and absolutely worth it. When you get to the turn-around point at Matroosberg Station it is basically downhill all the way, with one last steep climb, just to keep things interesting.

DAY 2Day 2 of the RIDE experience is a relaxing 22km ride on cement strips through the mountains. During this ride you will experience the beauty of trail, with the ease of road.
The ride will start at the guesthouse, so no long drives are necessary for this ride. We will take you up to the Roode-Elsberg Dam, which is the main irrigation dam for the lower part of the Hex River Valley. To get to the dam you will notice passing through THREE gates, so this is not a place many get to experience. At the foot of the dam wall, you will be treated to a lovely brunch. |
